Brown & Brown is seeking a Premium Payable Sub Leader to join our growing team in Daytona Beach, FL! 

The Premium Payable Sub-Lead will lead a team of Premium Payable Accountants and Associates to ensure a high quality of premium payable services for multiple Brown & Brown offices. The leader oversees and coaches the team in the performance of the individual and department responsibilities and ensure that the processing of all phases of the premium payable processes and procedures for the offices within the Team is done in accordance with established company practices and timelines. 

How You Will Contribute: 

• Lead Premium Payable teammates in day-to-day activities to support the Premium Payable functions for the Retail Division

• Review and approve company payable disbursements.

• Enforce and uphold established controls surrounding all payment processes.

• Ensure all support for transactions is processed and filed accurately and timely in ImageRight.

• Troubleshoot and provide guidance.

• Approve intercompany journal entries.

• Assist in training of new teammates.

• Foster and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders.

• Monitors individual teammates and the department’s progress towards meeting goals.

• Oversees the daily workflow of the department.

• Coach teammates for success through constructive and timely coaching conversations.

• Recruit, interview, hire and trains new teammates.

• Review, research and resolve premium payable items for your team.

• Leverage software automation for process efficiency.

• Analyze and identify trends to become subject matter expert within scope of assigned premium payable team.

• Collaborate with internal and external parties to resolve billing, deposit, and payable issues.

• Build courteous and successful relationships with carriers/wholesalers and profit centers to maintain efficient practice.

• Promote teamwork, support, knowledge sharing and a positive attitude in the department and office.

• Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology including professional development and continuing education.

Skills & Experience to Be Successful: 
  

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a finance or accounting related field

• 4+ years office experience

• 3-5 years full cycle accounting experience

• Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office environment, including but not limited to Teams, Word, Excel, and PPT.

Preferred:

• 1-year previous supervisory experience

• 3+ years insurance premium payable experience

• Working knowledge of AMS360

• Ability to travel periodically as needed
