IT & DIGITAL AT ENGIE
Led by the Executive Vice-President in charge of IT & Digital, the IT & Digital function contributes to enabling a differentiation power for competitiveness and growth. With more than 3800 people internally, ENGIE’s IT & Digital function is the second biggest of the Group and offers a wide range of positions (cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, architecture, data science, software development…). DIGITAL SOLUTIONS AT ENGIE DDSI
Within corporate Digital & IT Department (DDSI), Digital Transformation and Solutions (DTS) team is in charge of promoting digital transformation, digital native architectures, application convergence and establish roadmaps to deploy at scale digital platforms and applications standards. DTS teams goal is to focus on Digital transformation and value creation for the business. We work closely with DDSI teams (strategy and planning, data, cybersecurity, Technology), with GBU Head of Data and Digital, Hub CIOs, Business CIOs and architects, ENGIE Digital and ENGIE IT to define enterprise solutions and convergence roadmaps.
JOB OVERVIEW
- The Chief Enterprise Architect (CEA) leads the enterprise architecture practice within the organization, acting as a strategic partner to the C-suite and business leaders. The CEA is responsible for developing and executing enterprise architecture strategies that drive business value through the alignment of IT capabilities and business outcomes. This role enables business transformation, supports digital initiatives, and ensures that the organization’s technology landscape is future-ready.
- The CEA focuses on delivering measurable business outcomes by guiding the organization through technological innovation, managing risks, and aligning technology investments with strategic priorities.
- As Chief Enterprise Architect, you are responsible to define the group’s enterprise architecture strategies, methods principles and standards. You ensure that this architecture framework and strategy is aligned with business strategy.
- You are responsible for drafting and validating application and digital solutions architecture standards and policies for the group Digital platforms and target common applications. You define and promote the reference architecture within ENGIE IT & Digital teams. You advise on enterprise architecture landscape, including technology, data, cybersecurity, integration. You assess and identify IT risks and business value opportunities.
- You identify not only reference and target applications but also their architecture principles and target platforms to industrialize and streamline processes. You drive the transformation and iterative road mapping and provide guidelines to analyze and optimize value, to reuse and bring at scale applications and digital platforms. You push application landscape rationalization and harmonization.
- You build over time this culture of embedding enterprise architects in all applications and digital solutions that meet the needs of ENGIE businesses and functions. You promote an end to end urbanization approach with architectural thinking and impact analysis.
- You are constantly watching new technologies for applications, middleware, digital platforms, mobile applications and feed the group’s strategic thinking. You work closely with DDSI Strategy manager, Technology Global lead architect, Cybersecurity architect, Data architect, ENGIE IT and ENGIE Digital and GBUs & Hubs architects.
- You set up and lead a governance body “Architecture Board” bringing together architects from the various application and digital solutions specialties
