The AFI Product Line is looking for an Electrical Engineer to support the design, integration and test of cutting-edge aircraft- and ground-based electronic systems.The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Responsibilities:
- Interconnect design including wiring harnesses, system interconnect definition, and schematics
- Integration and test of new products (ranging from prototype to full-rate production)
- Radio Frequency (RF) component and system-level testing
- CCA design including schematic capture, PCB layout support, and Bill of Materials (BOM) definition
- Troubleshooting and repairs of previously fielded equipment
- Development of test equipment and fixturing
- Potential to gain experience with system and software testing
- MIL-STD and industry-standard qualification testing, including Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI)
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
- Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings, diagrams, schematics, and manuals
- Ability to work with standard laboratory test equipment, other measurement equipment, hand tools, and power tools
- Ability to obtain and maintain a United States Secret Clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience testing Radio Frequency (RF) systems or assemblies
- Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
- Experience composing and analyzing Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis
- Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes
- Understanding of Electro Magnetic Effects (EME) to include Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI)
- Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture
- Understanding of the printed circuit board layout process and tools
- Experience with RF testing, including Network Analyzers, Signal generators, Oscilloscopes, DMMs, etc.
