Summary
The Vice President, Commercial Operations is responsible for the successful execution and leadership of sales enablement, financial support, resource center and integration management office leadership for new and existing customers to the TRIMEDX program.
Leads a team in direct commitment to TRIMEDX core values: Excellence, Innovation and Making a Difference. An important element of this role is to maintain solid working relationship across the company to include Executive Leadership, Operations, Client Services, Business Development, Marketing, Product Development, Legal, Finance and HR, as well as other functional departments. Primary responsibility to ensure a cohesive approach for overall commercial activities that are representative of the TRIMEDX brand and standards and aligned with all functional teams with a goal of transitioning from a commercial process that can be implemented and successfully operationalized for customer success.
Responsibilities
Commercial Operations Strategy & Execution
• Key contributor with TRIMEDX executive team, Sales, Marketing and Operations on new opportunities and expansions.
• Key leader to support new sales and sales renewal activity by participating in prospect meetings; contributing to solution design, proposal development, and finalist presentations.
• Facilitate sharing of knowledge and best practices across account teams and business units.
• Establish the strategy and ensure active utilization and adoption of company Client Relationship Management (CRM) tool.
- Provide leadership to ensure that there are data analytics including the win/loss rate, competitive award tracking, productivity.
- Ensures a strategy for feedback loops to support client’s growth.
- Responsible for financial reconciliations through the commercial financial support team.
- Collaborate/support on commercial learning and development in support of Sales Enablement.
- Responsible for the sales proposal and content process to include library and secure storage.
- Leads Deal team process including all processes that contribute to a successful deal team review, such as pre-deal team. Ensuring the appropriate stakeholders and involved, processes are followed.
- Oversight of Reference and RFP process through the CRC.
• Leadership: Provide clear direction to ensure collective achievement of goals and objectives. Create an environment of respect, collaboration, and open communication.
• Associate Development: Identify and support development needs of direct reports and team members including connecting them to resources both internally and externally to ensure a culture of continuous improvement.
• Associate Engagement: Create high levels of employee engagement by understanding organizational and personal drivers that impact drivers and developing action plans that deliver increased engagement.
• Performance management: Set clear goals and expectations for teams, monitor, and enable performance and intervene with appropriate action when performance gaps occur and provide timely, honest feedback. Ensure that associates complete assigned actions by required deadlines.
• 50-75% travel required.
• All other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
• Minimum of 12 years of overall experience with a minimum of 8 years of business and/or client strategic selling experience and a minimum of 4 years of experience in building complex solution-based sales and/or client retention strategies is required.
• At least seven years of people management experience.
• Knowledge of the US health care and/or medical device industry preferred.
• Knowledge of strategic selling practices in the healthcare market preferred.
• Ability to access, engage and build credibility with C-level leaders and decision makers.
• Strong financial, people leadership and coaching skills required.
• Notable achievements in creating opportunities and closing significant sales or retention efforts.
