This Warsaw-based individual contributor role sits at the center of our procurement evolution, blending strategic vision with analytical precision. You will report directly to the Chief Procurement Officer and act as a critical member of the Procurement Leadership Team. This position demands an exceptional ability to lead data-driven initiatives, develop and deploy high-impact procurement strategies, and optimize operational frameworks to match Moderna’s scale and pace. With exposure to executive-level reporting, cross-functional collaboration, and Generative AI tooling, this role represents a high-impact opportunity to shape the future of procurement in one of the world’s most innovative biotech companies.</span></p><p></p><p><b><span>Here’s What You’ll Do:</span></b></p><p><b><span>Your key responsibilities will be:</span></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Partnering with the Chief Procurement Officer to shape procurement strategy aligned with Moderna’s growth vision, with a strong focus on cost structure insights (e.g., purchased services, travel spend).</span></p></li><li><p><span>Leading sourcing operations, including oversight of monthly financial close activities, spend tracking vs. plan, variance explanation, and cost control initiatives.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Spearheading the implementation of transformative procurement strategies that challenge convention and deliver sustainable competitive advantage.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Acting as a key liaison for cross-functional procurement projects to ensure execution on time and on budget.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Leading global benchmarking and performance measurement to identify continuous improvement opportunities and optimization levers.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Your responsibilities will also include:</span></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Implementing and refining strategic sourcing frameworks, including the execution of RFx events and development of advanced negotiation strategies.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Driving procurement digitization efforts by integrating modern analytics, reporting, and real-time data tools to elevate operational agility.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Preparing impactful executive-level presentations that clearly communicate procurement strategies, KPIs, and initiative outcomes to senior stakeholders.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Supporting innovation in cost modeling and savings forecast development to deliver against multi-year financial targets.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Leveraging Generative AI tools to enhance analytics, visualization, and communication strategies across the procurement function.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>The key Moderna Mindsets you’ll need to succeed in the role:</span></b></p><ul><li><p><b><span>We digitize everywhere possible using the power of code to maximize our impact on patients.</span></b><br/><span>You will embody this mindset by leading the adoption of digital procurement tools and analytical platforms, enabling data-led decision-making and real-time executive insights.</span></p></li><li><p><b><span>We remove viscosity to encourage collective action.</span></b><br/><span>You will exemplify this principle by identifying and eliminating operational friction across procurement systems, workflows, and stakeholder engagement to accelerate strategic execution.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications):</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree required</p></li><li><p>Minimum 9 years of experience in a large or medium-sized professional procurement organization with at least 5+ years specifically in the life sciences
