Job Description

Senior Financial Analyst, US Revenue FP&A, NA Finance

The US Revenue FP&A Team is seeking to add a Senior Financial Analyst to its broader team supporting the top of the US P&L. The team is responsible for business drivers, including Payments Volume of 6T per annum, gross revenues, client incentives, and net revenue of 13B per annum (with net revenue a key measure of performance). The team is tasked with developing conceptually sound, rigorous, and detailed understandings of the various elements that impact net revenue, with the goal of optimizing financial performance and delivering against financial goals. This is supported by core planning & analysis responsibilities, the ongoing drive to uncover new insights and suggest improvements, and by either making or enabling business decisions. The Finance Manager will join an FP&A team that is the day-to-day financial ‘eyes and ears’ for roughly half of Visa’s global net revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

The position will support team efforts with a dual focus on cross border and service fees, with up to 10% of responsibilities in other areas, as assigned.

  • Cross-border payments is a complex and high-profile topic where successful analysis incorporates a thorough and sophisticated understanding of FX rates, payments industry market dynamics, and consumer and business spend patterns.

  • Service fees comprise more than 40% of Visa USA’s gross revenue and encompass a variety of different charges typically levied based on the transaction volume each time a Visa Card is used.

Essential Functions:

  • Planning & Analysis: Actual-Forecast

    • Analyzes monthly and quarterly results, identifies and interprets key variances, trends, and insights, presents key findings to management

    • Provides on-going forecasts for Payments Volume and Processed Transactions

      • Combines observed patterns and trends and creates accurate forecasts, able to triangulate and exercise judgement

      • Intellectually curious, driven to find the right answer and ‘build a better mousetrap’

    • Participates in and influence quarterly financial outlooks and annual budget processes

  • Collaborates and coordinates with a broad base of stakeholders (i.e. sales leaders, deals, pricing, controllership, operations etc.) to glean and convey insights

  • Serves as a subject matter expert within FP&A, both as a guide for peers, as well as providing ownership and/or support of strategic initiatives

  • Supports or leads wide variety of ad hoc requests and special projects (with common inbound inquiries from sales and FP&A leadership)

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
o 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
o 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
o Demonstrated expertise in MS Office (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
o Experience in budgeting and forecasting, month-end close and process development
o Sound foundation in Finance and working knowledge of GAAP and Visa Accounting Policy preferred
o Payments/Credit card industry experience preferred
o Experience with a complex financial system (e.g., Hyperion, TM1) is beneficial but not requ
