GENERAL PURPOSE:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Director of Marketing to lead and integrate our marketing efforts across channel, product, communication, and creative marketing. In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for driving our marketing strategy and execution with a strong emphasis on customer intimacy, customer lifetime value (CLV), and advanced marketing automation techniques. You will be at the forefront of enhancing customer experiences by leveraging market and competitive intelligence as well as Voice of Customer (VOC) insights. This position requires a deep understanding of modern marketing technologies, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional leadership. The Sr. Director – Marketing is a key collaborator with Sales Leadership, Digital Marketing, IT, and brand general managers.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Driving Growth
- Builds a tiered and tailored programming strategy that supports account segmentation and leverages mutual opportunities between customers and Legrand.
- Works closely with GMVPs influencing roadmaps with rigorous VOC research and insights, market intelligence, competitive intelligence, positioning and value propositions tailored to focus verticals and applications.
- Partners with Sales leadership on the unified funnel starting with lead generation all the way through to share of wallet expansion and customer retention. Executes with a digital tools and processes-first mindset optimizing conversion (quality) and investment (cost to serve).
- Measures the impact of partner programs to continually refine go-to-market programs.
- Establishes KPIs and dashboards to track performance.
- Develops framework for account management across channels to identify efficiencies and drive collaboration.
- Identifies and champions opportunities to drive revenue and effective engagement.
- Innovates and seeds innovation through defining and implementing effective processes, tools and automation.
Marketing Strategic Leadership
- Drives overall marketing strategy via a deep understanding of business goals, growth opportunities, market insights, VOC (internal & external) and understanding of path to market dynamics.
- Translates Division strategic growth objectives into specific marketing strategies.
- Continuously inspires and drives team to create, enhance and refresh content to increase value.
- Collaborates effectively with GMs, Sales, Digital Marketing and IT, and Legrand North America central marketing in the development of Go-To-Market actions, Branding, Channel Strategy, Market Requirements and Strategic Partnerships.
- Inspirational leader who understands and works the important relationship between culture and strategy.
Automation and Digitization
- Develops content strategy supported by identifying automation/digital tools, and processes to that drive tailored and measurable customer engagement with lowest cost to serve.
- Partners with our digital marketers to influence: legrandav.com. Aligns with LNCA to funnel content to other Legrand websites.
- Establishes automation capabilities across digital platforms that improve our marketing tactic effectiveness.
- Scales online content optimization strategy to serve multiple audiences.
- Expands marketing vehicles to build online communities.
Management
- Develops and implements goals, objectives, policies and procedures; analyzes and recommends. strategies to improve effectiveness of operation; evaluate reports, decisions, and results in relation to established goals.
- Democratizes information and champions sharing insights that drive action across Legrand AV.
- Effectively manages, develops, and inspires a team of direct and indirect reports. Monitors workloads, provides or arranges for back-up/additional resources as needed; strives to build a culture that matches and supports the customer intimacy strategy.
- Drives cross team collaboration to fuel innovation and continuous improvement.
- Responsible for all aspects of performance management including interviewing, training, performance evaluations, corrective action plans and recognition for direct reports.
- Provides effective, constructive and appropriate feedback and leadership to direct reports to foster positive, team atmosphere; ensures personal and professional development of direct reports.
- Manage budgets and provides guidance to each team monthly.
