About the role

This dynamic leadership role puts you at the forefront of innovation, driving transformative improvements to process technologies in the factory through the Healthcare Technology Process. Leading a talented team of Process Engineers and Process Technologists, the Technical Manager ensures the efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing of liquid and oral solid dosage (OSD) consumer health products.

Beyond managing daily operations, this role is a catalyst for change—championing process engineering initiatives that maximize cost-effectiveness, streamline efficiency, and propel strategic business imperatives forward. Collaboration is key, and the Technical Manager works cross-functionally to uncover opportunities, deliver impactful improvements, and continuously elevate manufacturing excellence.

Your responsibilities

• To manage a small team (up to 2 people) and ensure resources are allocated to meet key milestones and are aligned with business priorities
• Technology Transfer: Ensure that robust reproducible and efficient manufacturing processes are transferred into Production from R&D, contract manufacturers, or other Reckitt Sites.
• Process Optimization: Analyze and improve liquid and OSD manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure consistent product quality.
• Technical Support: Provide day-to-day technical support to production teams, troubleshooting process issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Scale-Up & Validation: Support scale-up of new products from R&D to full-scale production, including process validation and documentation.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead and participate in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.
• Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all processes comply with cGMP, FDA, and Reckitt quality standards. Maintain accurate and complete documentation (batch records, SOPs, deviation reports).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Quality, R&D, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless operations and product launches.
• Equipment & Technology: Evaluate and recommend new equipment or technologies to enhance liquid and OSD processing capabilities.

The experience we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering + at least 3 years in pharmaceutical, consumer health, or chemical manufacturing, ideally working with liquid and oral solid dosage (OSD) forms.
• Strong understanding of GMP, FDA regulations, and pharmaceutical manufacturing standards.
• Hands-on experience with key processing technologies, including, mixing, emulsification, homogenization, liquid filling, high shear / top spray granulation, tablet compression, and film coating.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to influence and drive change.
