Contract Negotiator- Provider Contracting Associate Analysis

Job Description Summary

Position Description:

This position serves as an integral member of the Provider Compensation team. This position will support the day to day contracting activities for a given territory (California & Texas) and is responsible for financial negotiations and retention of our dental contracted providers. This position will manage, evaluate, and/or negotiate provider contracts and fee schedules for contracted providers and group practices ensuring a smooth operation and administration of provider agreements within an assigned budget.  This position will work with internal partners to support state specific regulations and maintain provider profiling system and communicate verbally and in writing with providers regarding contractual inquires. Support state specific regulations/requirements (attending meetings, audits, compliance activities).

Specific Responsibilities Include:

• Achieve agreement to cost-effective contract updates by effectively negotiating with contracted DPPO dental providers
• Work in partnership with other internal team members to facilitate positive outcomes to contract concerns raised by our contracted dental providers.
• Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with contracted Providers to reach agreement on contracted rates
• Educate providers on policies as they pertain to their contract requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Self-starter and very organized
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely.
• Strong interpersonal skills, establishing rapport and working well with others.
• Service oriented
• Computer proficiency, Microsoft based products and other web based platforms
• Ability to work in a goal orientated environment
• Ability to meet high standards for attendance
• Other projects and duties as assigned
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Strong skill set required in the following areas: analytical, negotiations, financials, presentation skills, written and oral communication skills
• Ability to successfully develop relationships
• Dental Terminology
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or business/project management or five plus years in the dental insurance industry

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 23 - 35 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
