Department/Unit Summary 
Reports to the Emergency Department Manager and Trauma Medical Director, overseeing the development and growth of the hospital-wide trauma program, including education and injury prevention. Responsible for auditing trauma cases, updating policies, and leading performance improvement and staff development. Builds partnerships to ensure high-quality, efficient patient care and fosters a professional practice environment. Serves in clinical, educational, administrative, and quality improvement roles to support comprehensive trauma care.

How you’ll contribute 
•    Continuously monitors and improves departmental performance, audits trauma cases for PIPS concerns, and escalates cases to appropriate leadership and committees as needed.
•    Manages the Oregon Trauma Registry, using data to develop and implement evidence-based process improvement programs and monitor outcomes.
•    Actively participates in Quality Council, state and area trauma meetings (meeting 50% attendance requirement), and EMS chart reviews when possible.
•    Oversees the administration and evaluation of the trauma care system and coordinates injury prevention programs based on trauma registry and epidemiologic data.

Qualifications and requirements 
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
•    BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire.
•    ACLS, TNCC or ATCH, and PALS OR ENPC required.
•    Minimum of four (4) years acute care experience. Emergency Department experience preferred.
