What You Will Do:
Accountable for project’s performance (scope, safety, quality, schedule, risk and cost) and end-user satisfaction by:
Ensuring organizational objectives are translated into the department’s activities in collaboration with internal collaborators (e.g. environment, safety, quality, land, legal, supply chain, etc.).
Monitoring and controlling project activities are met within financial and schedule constraints.
Ensuring that engineering project scope definitions follow all regulatory, environmental, health and safety requirements through effective management and coordination of internal functional groups.
Optimally managing project change and risk and providing regular updates to management and interested parties.
Facilitating communication between engineering consultants, contractors, vendors and appropriate internal stakeholders to ensure technical issues are addressed in a timely manner.
Implementing consistent, thorough, and timely management of project records and closeout procedures.
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related construction or operational training and/or experience in Project Management, Pipelines, Construction, or another related field.
At least 6 years of progressively responsible experience that includes no less than 5 years of project experience. For candidates who do not possess a bachelor’s degree, an additional 3-years of related experience is required.
In depth knowledge of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) – Project Management Professional (PMP) certification with PMI is considered an asset.
Proven interpersonal, communication, planning, organizational, problem solving, decision-making, negotiation and leadership skills.
Valid driving license with safe driving record.
Working Conditions:
Office environment with minimal travel requirements (<15%) to other office locations or short site visits. Valid passport is required.
Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to:
Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
Salary:
Ranges from $96,000 – $140,000 USD for US locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.
Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
