Data Scientist

Shipt, Inc. seeks a full-time Data Scientist. Design and develop ad technology algorithms and analyses spanning multiple areas of ad tech. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in quantitative Mathematics (e.g., Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics), Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering (e.g., Computer, Industrial, Electrical), Economics, Finance, Mathematical Finance, Information Science, Information Systems, Operations Research, Actuarial Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related quantitative STEM field (foreign equivalent accepted), plus at least 1 year of experience in the proffered position or related quantitative position (e.g., Data Analyst, Mathematical Statistician, Statistician, Statistical Analyst). Work experience must also include at least 1 year of experience with the following: (1) methodological foundations of deep learning, machine learning, and statistics; (2) Python programming language; (3) modeling and analyzing large-scale data sets; (4) researching data science projects end-to-end as part of a team of data engineers, including designing and developing data science solutions and assisting data engineers to productionalize those solutions; and (5) experience monitoring and iterating over fully operational data products. This position is fully remote and may telecommute from any location in the U.S. Company HQ is located in Birmingham, AL. Limited travel to company’s offices for work reasons may be needed. Various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. may be possible in the future.
