(Job #543166) Administrative Analyst/Specialist E-I, Outdoor Adventures Program ANalyst, Hiring Range: $4,598 - $4,900. This is a full-time, benefited, exempt, 12-month pay plan permanent position with a one-year probationary period in Athletics. Position Summary:

The Outdoor Adventures Program Analyst coordinates the daily operation of the Outdoor Adventures program, Aquatics Programs, and programming that supports Cal Poly Humboldt’s Academic and Engagement groups and assists with oversight of the Equipment Room. This includes program development, risk management, creating curriculum for experiential learning, planning and professional development, responsibilities in training and lead oversight of a student team of Outdoor Adventure Leaders, Assistants, Interns, and other part-time staff as well as coordination of the logistics for the Outdoor Adventures, Aquatics Programs; and monitoring the equipment rental program.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Activities Programming and Logistics

  • Program development, planning outdoor activities, and research, assess and/or identify area information associated with activities.
  • Schedules Outdoor Adventure, Certification, Leisure, Virtual, and Aquatics programs that effectively meet the needs of the campus community.
  • Responsible for working with the appropriate Cal Poly Humboldt staff to secure facilities, vehicle schedules, and technical equipment needed for programming support.
  • Assists Associate Director of Campus Recreation in the preparation of budget materials and is responsible for reporting for Outdoor Adventures, Leisure, Aquatics, and additional programming areas.
  • Responsible for recommending to the Associate Director of Campus Recreation appropriate development and maintenance of Activities program policies and procedures, to include leadership and risk management.
  • Responsible for implementing Summer Youth Aquatics Camp including program development, recruitment, hiring, training, and scheduling. Ensures programs are operating safely and effectively.
  • Responsible for other special programs and events, including the development of school group and youth at risk activities, and programming for Cal Poly Humboldt’s Orientation, Diversity Programs, Academic departments, and additional private/custom trips for the greater community.
