Your Role at Baxter

In this pivotal role on our 2nd shift shipping team in the warehouse you will work collaboratively with Supervisor’s and Production Planning to determine staff requirements, prioritize work to ensure customer deliveries are achieved, and production plans are optimally executed.

As a motivated and upbeat leader, you have proven solid leadership and hands-on capability. As the Group Leader, you will take the lead and give direction to a group of operators as well as coordinate and prioritize work schedules, assign tasks, and schedule overtime. Your role will involve monitoring work orders & priorities to ensure that the flow of work is expedited where it is needed. You are responsible and accountable for shift quality, efficiency and coordination of data collections, such as On Time delivery reports.

What You'll Be Doing

• Your ability to effectively interact with a variety of supervisors will aid you in providing feedback on skill levels and training needs for shipping operators.

• You will play a pivotal role in training employees on accurate procedures, operations of tools and equipment and standards of performance, and safety.

• Your willingness and ability to develop employees will help you in establishing standards and achieving objectives with direct reports.

• You’re supportive and collaborative approach will foster professional cross-training activities and personnel development initiatives.

• You will assist your supervisor with employee appraisals, make recommendations for personnel actions, and ensure equal opportunity environment.

What You'll Bring

• High School degree or equivalent is required.

• Warehouse & Leadership experience is desired.

• Able and willing to work overtime on short notice.

• Demonstrate good judgment, and can handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly.

• Work in various positions such as standing or sitting and working in repetitive jobs/assemblies.

• Lean Mfg and/or Six Sigma experience or other process improvement program is highly desirable.
