Job Summary:

The General Ledger Accountant’s primary function is to complete all assignments necessary to assure an accurate and timely monthly accounting close and to maintain an analysis of general ledger accounts to assure each is fairly stated.

                                                                                                    

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit general ledger journal entries to Corporate by the accounting close deadline to close the books each month accurately and timely.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations in excel for assigned business units (domestic and Caribbean) to assure each account is fairly stated.
• Respond to all questions related to the above. Questions can arise from anyone in Allentown, Corporate San Antonio, and Caribbean markets.
• Work with Corporate San Antonio to assure accurate reporting of LOC’s, Bonds, property tax, and sales and use taxes in the U.S. and Caribbean as needed.
• Preparation of ad hoc analysis as requested (ACS, ACDBE, Fixed Assets, etc.).

• Support annual budget process.

• Assist with internal & external audits by providing necessary financial data, supporting documentation, and explanations for audit inquiries.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
