What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Coordinate with Technical Office, Purchasing Department and Pre-Series Center the definition of Pre-Series Production Plan for all Production Shops in order to achieve the required Product Release according to Project Milestones,
  • Define User Manual and Departmental Procedures related to the Material check, warehousing and transportation from Receiving Area to Production Line, for pre-series and prototype parts,
  • Planning and optimizing internal processes, structures and equipment to ensure the production ramp up,
  • Develop, together with VW IT Group, the IT Logistic Concept for Pre-Series Planning and operations considering the Brand specificities and Group standards,
  • Define and agree with internal and external stakeholders the internal material flow for pre-series parts including IT-system support by ensuring transparent and strong hand-over points,
  • Build up the Logistic Bill of Material based on Technical Product Information and ensure the vehicle Data Maintenance in the related IT-Systems,
  • Define and carry out IT System User Test to prove the Systems functionalities before the planned Go-Live,
  • Ensure Pre-Series build schedules with processes and parts on time based on production capacity and demand considering also quality requirements.
  • Support internal and external resources for planning, executing and optimizing of all logistics responsibilities concerning production material flow from suppliers to point of fit,
  • Support process control through planning and implementing KPIs with clear responsibility distribution, coordinate problem solving activity in case of deviance from the defined targets,
  • Analyze and authorize the department budget, assure its fulfillment and develop countermeasures to compensate deviation observed by optimizing or reassigning technical and human resources.

 

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, SC.
  • The responsibilities of this role require attendance in office with in-person meetings and events regularly. 
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in logistics or production environment in the automotive industry,
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or related fields
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Detailed Knowledge and extensive Experience in Quality Management Systems (ISO, VDA, etc.) and related process requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage complexity
  • Collaborative team-player with strong interpersonal skills able to work at each hierarchical level of the company
  • Strong understanding of Production environment
