The Opportunity
As the Manager, Strategic Technology Procurement, you will play a pivotal role in shaping procurement strategies that drive innovation, efficiency, and long-term value across the enterprise. This highly collaborative position focuses on Information Technology categories and requires a strategic mindset, strong stakeholder engagement, and leadership capabilities. You’ll go beyond traditional sourcing to influence functional strategy, foster supplier partnerships, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
What You’ll Work On
Serve as the primary procurement liaison for designated business units, translating strategic priorities into actionable procurement strategies
Participate in business planning and decision-making to align procurement with enterprise goals
Collaborate cross-functionally to identify opportunities for supplier-enabled innovation, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency
Educate stakeholders on procurement capabilities and enable performance through technology and tools
Lead strategic supplier relationships focused on performance, innovation, and long-term value creation
Develop and implement category strategies, including supplier consolidation and optimization of Tier 2 and Tier 3 supply chains
Manage supplier KPIs and governance to ensure global consistency and compliance
Drive value creation beyond cost savings, including sustainability, risk management, and speed-to-market
Provide market insights and recommendations based on supplier capabilities and internal data
Stimulate creativity and innovation in procurement processes and supplier engagement
Promote cross-divisional collaboration and global best practices
Define and execute strategies to reduce Total Cost of Ownership and support business transformation
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key vendors and internal stakeholders
Align procurement strategies with business needs through partnership with business leaders
Recruit, mentor, and develop procurement talent
Promote team cohesion and manage people-related issues constructively
Ensure procurement activities comply with corporate and divisional policies
Promote best practices in contract management, supplier engagement, and risk assessment
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
5–8 years of procurement or category management experience, ideally with global supplier exposure
Strong strategic thinking, project management, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities
Experience with supplier relationship management and cross-functional collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
MBA
Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPM, or PMP
