Gerresheimer Peachtree City L.P. was established in 1993 in Peachtree City, GA, as part of the Plastics & Devices Division manufacturing and assembling a variety of precision molded plastic parts for various applications in the medical industry. The subsidiary operates in an 87,500 sq. ft. production facility with 200 employees.
Job Description
- Review Inventory system and Monitor stock levels to ensure the minimum stock level is not breached
- Orders raw material as required via the system
- Issue Orders in a timely manner taking account of lead times
- Follow up on Purchase Orders to obtain delivery timescales
- Progress outstanding orders and escalate to supervisor for guidance
- Liaise with internal customers, suppliers, and the Purchasing and Finance departments on all stock and raw material related issues. Such as price variances, non-receipts of goods, supplier issues, item documentation and any certificates that might be requested
- Maintain close links with Warehouse to ensure stock levels are adequate
- Manage inbound freight expenses while maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
- Operate all Inventory Control systems and other appropriate systems to facilitate stock processing duties
- Analyze slow-moving inventory reports and coordinate usage or disposition of items
- Identify the root cause of any material discrepancy and establish solutions to prevent similar issues in the future
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of purchasing or raw material order management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel) and extensive experience with SAP MM and MRP Runs
- Excellent organizational, communications, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred but not required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 8+ years of experience in Purchasing or Raw material Order Management in a manufacturing environment
