Software Engineer, OS Security, 3+ Years of Experience

Next Generation Spectacles are our first pair of glasses that bring augmented reality to life. 

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join OS Security team at Snap Inc!

What you’ll do:

• Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders and to enhance device security and user privacy

• Design and build security solutions to facilitate secure manufacturing of Spectacles

• Research, design and develop cutting edge security features to enhance the security posture for Spectacles

• Improve infrastructure for fuzzing and automate security validation

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Experience in platform-level vulnerability hardening / testing in Linux based systems

• Skilled with security auditing and risk assessment

• In-depth understanding of authentication, security protocols and applied cryptography

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science or equivalent years of experience

• 3+ years of experience with software development in one or more languages, and data structures / algorithms

• 1+ year of experience building software for data privacy or security on Linux based systems

• Experience in cryptography, application/system security focussed on embedded systems development

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline

• Experience with Trusted execution platforms such as ARM Trustzone
