CHILDCARE SERVICES - COMPLAINCE & TRAINING ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Joining our energetic and cause-driven team, the Compliance & Training Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth integration of new employees, by ensuring that all compliance and training is completed & documented. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ensure accurate completion and maintenance of new hire forms, background checks, and DHS training records.
- Coordinate training for newly hired staff, including DHS compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with HR and the leadership teams to develop strategies for reducing vacancy rates and turnover.
- Serve as the primary contact for newly hired childcare staff, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience.
- Respond to inquiries regarding positions and the onboarding process.
- Input training hours into the payroll system.
- Maintain flexibility in schedule to meet departmental needs.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience in administering training plans and working on cross-functional teams
- DHS licensing experience is preferred, but not required
- Strong verbal, relational, organizational, and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines, required
- Detail-oriented and thorough approach to tasks
WORK SCHEDULE:
Flexible work schedule required. The full time work schedule for this position is generally Monday through Friday, with 8 hour shifts occurring anywhere between 7:00am-8:00pm. Evening and weekends work may be required.
