Position Overview:

The Sr. System/Network Admin will apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments and oversee day-to-day operation and maintenance of the organization’s computer systems and networks. The Sr. Admin will evaluate performance results and recommend major changes affecting short-term project growth and success while functioning as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and other computer systems
  • Manage user accounts and permissions
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshooting issues as they arise
  • Ensure system security by implementing security measures such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems
  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and other network devices
  • Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures
  • Manage and maintain backups and disaster recovery plans
  • Ensure software and operating systems are up-to-date with the latest security patches and updates
  • Provide technical support to users and other IT staff
  • Manage and monitor cloud-based systems

 

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, Linux, or macOS
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with cloud-bases systems and technologies(AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
  • Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft certified, Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or Google Cloud Certified are a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to new technologies and methodologies as they emerge
  • Good communication skills, ability to work independently and work well within a team
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work on call or on a rotation schedule
