As a Director of Customs Brokerage at RXO, you will provide functional and strategic leadership across our multi-location Customs Brokerage Operation, as well as collaborate with business leaders to create an integrated operation. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, hands-on leader who will help us build the future strategy of the group, its offerings and support interface. What your day-to-day will look like:

• Provide leadership and direction to Customs Brokerage Operation 
• Design and implement standard operating procedures across the operation 
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations 

• Build customer relationships by meeting with current and potential customers 
• Cultivate team member collaboration to uncover new business opportunities 

 

What you’ll need to excel:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• 7 years of experience in a 3PL Global Freight Forwarding organization with at least 5 years of team management and development experience with remote and local employees 

• Experience with domestic and international regulations, policies, and procedures 

 

It’d be great if you also have:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 
• Licensed Customs Broker 
• Sales experience 

• Strong strategic planning and project management skills 
• Proven ability to establish and maintain effective, collaborative customer relationships both internally and externally 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
