Position Summary:

The Graphic Designer position will provide design and marketing consultation for print and digital projects for the consolidated Migizi EDC businesses. Although the Migizi EDC is owned by the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, it operates under the Migizi EDC policies and procedures.

 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Graphic designer of materials used in marketing. Print and digital.
• Assist with website design and maintenance of social networking sites, such as Facebook and Twitter.
• Establish the conceptual/stylistic design direction and production timeline for all projects.
• Editing and copywriting print and digital materials.
• Edits, takes photos, and determines layout of promotional and informational materials, including brochures, flyers, slides, presentations, press releases, and feature articles; oversees production materials.
• Assist with creating and implementing the Marketing plan that aligns with strategic goals..
• Order and maintain marketing materials and supply levels.
• Design and print materials for all departments.
• Graphic design liaison for outside business entities hired by Migizi EDC.
• Responsible for designing and sending Internal and external emails.
• Represent the tribe and its membership at public events as needed.
• Travel as needed between business units. (25-30%).

• Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Work Environment/Safety Hazards:

Frequent use of hands, wrists, fingers associated with computer operation. Some heavy lifting of items up to 40 pounds. Walking throughout properties.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Required:

• 18 years of age.
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts.
• Three (3) to Five (5) years of verifiable experience in a commercial graphic design capacity.
• Verifiable Commercial social media experience.

• Pre-employment background check.
• Photography experience preferred.
• Native American.
