Position Summary

Provides programmatic and operational support to the NYC Elder Abuse Center. This role also provides clinical supervision, case consultations, outreach and training. 

Job Responsibilities

• Provides clinical supervision to CEASe team members and clinical case consultations to professionals. Supervise CEASe staff or interns as needed.
• Coordinates cases for review by the Center’s multidisciplinary team.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and provide case consultations.
• Develops and utilizes tools and systems to enhance case flow to ultimately diminish risk to vulnerable elders; Maintains follow-up of cases to ensure continuity of care.
• Utilize appropriate social work and clinical tools and skills on cases, in supervision and on developing protocols. Contributes to the development and dissemination of elder abuse assessments and intervention tools for various disciplines.
• Provide training to on all programs.
• Assists with design, refinement and maintenance of CEASe’s clinical protocols based on clinical experience.
• Stays up to date with government, professional, and institutional regulations, legislation, policies, and standards of care.
• Participates in trainings and workshops on multidisciplinary approaches to address elder abuse at city, state and nation-wide forums.
• Gathers, monitors, and generates reports on data. Assists in the development of programs and policies based on analysis of data and identification of needs.
• Represents the program in professional and public venues, including conferences involving travel.
• Liaises with Elder Justice advocates and service providers to build and enhance CEASe’s programs. Represents the program and division in professional and public venues, including conferences involving travel.
• Participates in the RFP process.
• Contributes to writing of abstracts and academic manuscripts for presentation and publication about the CEASe’s work. Contributes to writing for grant applications for additional research and funding for CEASe and related research projects.
• All other duties as assigned and appropriate.

Education

• Master's Degree in Social Work or related field

Experience

• Approximately 5 years of related experience.
• Strong supervisory experience.
• Experience with facilitating inter-disciplinary groups.
• Knowledge of elder abuse and aging and services for adults preferred.
