Job Description

Overview:

As a Senior Financial Analyst, Ad Sales you will be responsible for supporting advertising sales analysis and reporting of approximately $2B Gross Ad Sales Revenue across 12 NBC Owned Stations, 31 Telemundo Owned Stations, and 5 Regional Sports Networks. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Ad Sales Finance, you will partner with sales and finance leadership throughout the country and provide critical revenue analysis that has a direct impact on key business decisions for Local, Peacock, NBC Network and Telemundo Network.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Senior Manager on monthly and quarterly finance cycles, including budgeting, estimates, long-range planning, close, and pacing
  • Prepare weekly sales dashboards and track various sports and entertainment specials, such as Sunday Night Football, Big10, Olympics, World Cup, and Golden Globe Awards
  • Coordinate with local markets throughout the country for all sales data aggregation and communication
  • Work cross-functionally on ad hoc sales-related projects (Post mortems, Greenlight analysis for new programs and/or sporting events) and gain exposure to NBC Network, NBC Sports, Telemundo Enterprises, Research, and Local matrix organizations throughout the country
  • Manage data and act as a subject matter expert for sales and finance systems used for reporting (Wide Orbit, Tableau, BPC, SAP, Op1, MicroStrategy)

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in performing quantitative analysis, forecasting, and/or financial modeling

Desired Characteristics:

  • Highly skilled in Excel (formulas, pivot tables) with the ability to analyze and manipulate high volumes of data
  • Entertainment industry knowledge preferred
  • Demonstrates strong quantitative and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Possesses exceptional judgment and problem-solving skills to resolve unique and challenging issues/concerns quickly and independently
  • A team player with the ability to cultivate relationships and collaborate to achieve goals
  • Possesses a high level of personal and professional integrity

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
