The Team
The Budget and Resources Team (BRS) is responsible for setting and monitoring Budget and financial resource allocations across the Department. The team provides financial management support for all Business Units.
About the Role
Provide a high-level financial management and budget management consultancy service on aspects relating to the management of the Department’s budget with a particular focus on the whole of Agency budget development and monitoring including schools.
Support budget allocation and monitoring services in the Department including planning, evaluation and reporting processes. Participate in the development of appropriate policies, procedures and information systems. Provide high quality client services around budget management and resource allocation to schools and business units.

We are looking for
Essential
- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration Status – Employment.
Desirable
- A relevant degree or a post graduate qualification (for example in Business, Economics or Finance).
- Eligible for membership of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand or Certified Practising Accountants or equivalent qualifications.
Please note: The cost associated with obtaining a RWVP is the responsibility of the individual.
