About the role

Assists in the analysis, development, and implementation of Personal Lines Insurance independent agency compensation. This includes the calculation and evaluation of commission and ad hoc incentive initiatives. Works under the guidance of management and actively contributes information that leads to data-driven business decisions that facilitate profitable independent agency growth.

What You’ll Do:

As a Product Specialist – Agency Compensation, you’ll provide analytical and administrative support to our Personal Lines sales teams. In addition, you’ll:

  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills to improve incentive payout processes and create, maintain and refresh monthly reconciliation reports and compensation summary reports.

  • Leverage data to calculate regular and ad hoc incentive payouts for agents based on production, year over year growth, and/or loss ratio, gathering approval as necessary

  • Maintain agency commission rates in applicable systems and coordinate commission payments based on established agreements.

  • Respond to calls, emails, etc. from agencies, field sales teams and/or Business Development Managers, and other team members to resolve routine questions/issues.

  • Develop knowledge of internal systems to assist others in identifying corrective actions

What it Takes:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 0-3+ years of related work experience, preferably in the P&C Insurance industry.

  • Strong computer skills in MS Office with emphasis in Microsoft Excel. Experience with pivot tables and manipulating large data sets highly preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of data analysis tools such as Tableau and SAS preferred.

  • Basic SQL programming knowledge preferred.

  • Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and analytical skills with proven ability to effectively communicate, develop relationships, and make data driven decisions.

  • Ability to effectively communicate findings in written, verbal, and visual presentations.

  • Ability to think creatively and demonstrate curiosity in the review of data.
