Supervisor Clinical Laboratory - Clinical Laboratory at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro in San Pedro, CA. This position is Full-time and will work 8-hour, Day shifts.

The Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for the operation of a defined section of the consolidated clinical & pathology laboratory. Defined sections of the consolidated laboratory include: Automated Testing (includes Hematology, Chemistry, Immunochemistry, Urinalysis and Coagulation), Microbiology, Evening and Night Shifts, Support Services (includes Client Services, Central Processing, Referral Testing and Courier Services), Pathology (histology & cytology). Operational responsibilities include the monitoring and control of the day-to-day operations, supervision of the Technical Specialists, Clinical Laboratory Scientists, Laboratory Technicians, Histotechnicians, Pathology Technicians, & Cytotechnologists assigned to their section and evaluation of employee performance.

Required Qualifications:

Upon hire: California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License California Or
Upon hire: National Certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology Or
Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts Or
Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists Or
Upon hire: National Laboratory Tech - United States Government
4 years Must meet CLIA requirements for Technical Supervisor: CLS with experience in respective specialty.
Experience in a hospital laboratory in area of responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree Medical technology or related science.
Upon hire: ASCP or equivalent certification

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
