The Global Commodity & Procurement Controller's primary responsibilities include providing insightful finance analysis and collaborating with procurement in reaching their financial objectives. The Global Commodity & Procurement Controller is a key position within Corbion with exposure to top management. The ideal candidate is a hands-on “go-getter” and a business partner who is highly proactive and accustomed to successfully partnering with leadership.

 

Responsibilities:

• Strong Finance support to the VP Procurement (provide insight in raw material developments and translate this to the rest of the business, fixed costs of our global Procurement team, support during acquisitions, investigate new hedge opportunities and other ad hoc questions)
• Provide in depth insight in current and future variable cost price development (raw material, sourcing and other) to Marketing & Sales, Operations and Finance to support decision making
• Sort out hedging possibilities for our ETS rights, Gas Thailand and Energy US
• Accurate and timely Financial Reporting of our hedge accounting in compliance with IFRS accounting rules (hedge documentation, accounting in accordance with IFRS, approval of hedge contracts in line with policy, effectiveness test).

 

Department: The Global Commodity & Procurement Controller is part of the Business Control Team and reports to the Senior Costing & Logistics Controller. Business controllers in Corbion act as finance business partners for the Commercial, Operations and RD&A teams within the organization and are focused on value creation.

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Economics (strong preference for a CPA)
• 5+ years of working experience in an international environment with significant knowledge of the financial, production and supply chain processes
• Experience preferred in financial analyses of raw material developments and hedging/ hedge accounting of raw materials and FX
• Team player, flexible, good communicator, hands-on mentality, with strong analytical capabilities, accurate, managerial courage, is self-starting and fluent in English
