Principal Product Manager Highlights:
The Principal Product Manager will contribute to the company and product strategy, working closely with the Executive Team, external partners, and other stakeholders, ensuring the goals and success metrics are clear and achievable and that all teams are given visibility. The PPM will proactively communicate progress and update the teams as the work happens and continue to share performance statistics with the teams after release.
The Principal Product Manager will lead cross-functional teams developing features and improvements while closely collaborating with Engineers, Project Managers, QA engineers, Marketing, and Customer Success. The ideal candidate will set direction and bring out the best ideas from the teams while focusing on feedback and managing the scope and complexity of the work.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Create products and features from scratch following a path of research, ideation, building, measuring, learning, and iterating.
- Collaborate and drive results with engineers, project managers, customer success, and QA.
- Translate feature requirements into feature specs, interactive prototypes, clear and inspirational examples of feature behavior, and polished execution.
- Own the qualitative review cycle by frequently meeting with the team to review progress together and identify areas to improve and adjust to ensure the project is scoped well to land on time and hit targeted success metrics.
- Act as a thought partner in building our product roadmaps and developing our long-term term product vision.
- Engage in user research to distill user problems and deliver new insights.
- Use data analysis to improve features and inspire new product ideas
- Lead other product managers by example, mentor, and grow their toolsets and skills.
- Research and build ways to track better product use and impact on end-users with the team.
- Contribute to the voice of the company by creating instructional and marketing materials to promote features and improvements in the product and ways for users to grow their businesses.
- Engage with the community on social media and online events.
- Be an advocate for User Experience, design excellence, and discoverability in our products by driving work that makes our products easy to learn and joyful to use.
- Develop ideas with wireframes and mockups (in collaboration with the team) to ensure the details of what we are building are clear, thoroughly developed, and can be implemented efficiently by the development team.
What we're looking for:
- 8+ years of experience as a Product Manager working closely with engineering teams on a Software as a Service product. Bonus for experience in the MSP space.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and presentation skills for a wide range of audiences.
- Creative problem-solver always looking to improve our products by leading the vision while empowering the team.
- Ideal candidates will be equally analytical and creative and able to justify decisions to a range of stakeholders.
- Able to discover risk areas early and plan for their mitigation to minimize the impact on product quality and schedule.
- Fluent in analytics, able to set metrics-based targets for success and steer results and plans based on measurable performance.
- Self-starter possessing the ability to research issues, independently deliver consistent quality work and feedback, and improve processes.
- An experienced user of competitive products. Seeks info from our competitor users and our users.
- Able to coach and mentor Associate Product Managers to bring out their best work.
- You are located in, and authorized to work in, the US or Canada
