Ferring TechOps IT Infrastructure is an established team (since March 2022) with the overall responsibility to define, pilot, implement, and operate a new greenfield industry best-practice TechOps IT infrastructure. The TechOps Infrastructure team is part of the Corporate Infrastructure & Security organization in Global IT, with team members primarily working out of the Global IT headquarter in Copenhagen, Denmark and out of Lisbon, Portugal. The team consists of highly skilled and experienced individuals who thrives in a team setting and wants to succeed around the same mission.
This role includes 25% of time traveling (possibility to travel outside of Europe)
Your day at Ferring
Responsible for the successful delivery and operation of LAN and WLAN solutions across mid and large manufacturing environments, within an ITIL aligned Service Management framework, and in line with standards and Service Levels.
Produce support documents based on the setup for the operation.
Possess and maintain a detailed understanding for all Networking Infrastructure services.
Proactively seek out opportunities for continuous improvement and propose improvement activities.
Actively develop automation engineering solutions, identifying where automation should be used, and working with operations teams to implement solutions.
Incorporate security-by-design into all solutions, ensuring that security requirements are considered concurrently with technical requirements.
Responsible for the resolution of incidents and service requests associated with the networking services.
Successful work in a team covering support throughout the day and evening through on-call support.
Responsible for the security, resilience, and monitoring of the Networking Infrastructure services.
Responsible for identifying and undertaking Service Improvements.
Responsible for working closely and collaborate with the other teams within Ferring TechOps IT Infrastructure and 3rd parties / vendors to provide an excellent overall IT Service.
Responsible for the adoption into service of new solutions ensuring operational suitability.
Carry out continuous personal development, ensuring technical skills are kept up to date and non-technical skills are gained and improved.
Provide input and develop scripts to automate operational tasks and focus on continuous process improvements
Follow ITSM (ITIL) methodology to manage changes, incidents, and problems
Use standard enterprise tools to log, track, and close activities (support and projects)
Work on special project assignments as needed

University degree or equivalent in Information Systems, Engineering or similar.
Network Infrastructure: Proven experience in implementing, administering, managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting Cisco network devices (routers, switches, wireless access points, controllers).
Security & Firewalls: Expertise in firewalls and NGFW features (Cisco, Palo Alto, Checkpoint). Strong knowledge of network segmentation, profiling, and security best practices.
Load Balancing & Virtualization: Hands-on experience with load balancers (Kemp, F5) and software-defined solutions (Cisco ACI, VMware NSX).
Certifications: CCNP (mandatory) and/or Palo Alto Networks Network Security Generalist.
Networking Protocols: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, SNMP, OSI model, and Purdue Enterprise Reference Architecture (PERA).
