Job Description
ETAS, Inc. seeks an Embedded Software Engineer (Multiple Positions) at its facility located at 15800 N Haggerty Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170. Responsible to support projects/customers in regards to AUTOSAR related topics: AUTOSAR Workflow, and AUTOSAR - BSW generation. Porting basic software to micro controllers. Responsible to design, implement and test AUTOSAR -BSW modules. Responsible for acceptance testing of third party supplied software modules. Responsible for customer on-site training and consulting. Develop embedded software in AUTOSAR standards for electronic control units (ECUs) that go into the automotive industry. Handle AUTOSAR software integration and configuration, consulting, and on-site support Embedded software development. Monitor integration of AUTOSAR software architecture into customer applications. Work on internally developed tools on different customer projects and fix issues. Diagnose, troubleshoot and support AUTOSAR embedded software system as well as application software components. Work with original equipment manufacturers (OEM: GM, STELLANTIS, etc.,) in designing embedded software for the latest automobile requirements. Work with global software development teams to further develop design requirements. Handle configuration of AUTOSAR BSW and MCAL modules including Communication stack, Memory stack, Diagnostics, I/O HW abstraction, and modules. Responsible for porting basic software to different micro-controllers. Provide training for automotive software development and testing tools to various customers. Responsible for AUTOSAR technical presentations to customers. Work on debugging and problem-solving for complex technical issues identified at all stages of product development. Remote work may be permitted. REQS: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field, plus 3 years of professional experience in the field of embedded software development. Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with: 1. C, low level micro controller programming, and real time software development; 2. In vehicle communication protocols (CAN, CAN-FD, LIN and automotive Ethernet); 3. Vehicle diagnostics protocols such as OBD and USD; 4. Automotive Software Design and Development using AUTOSAR standard tools; and 5. Low level debugging using embedded debuggers. Apply below.
