The Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as an In Home Services-Vendor Level Audit Supervisor. DDD provides individuals with developmental disabilities, and their families, services and supports that are flexible, high quality, and member driven. These services provide individuals with opportunities to exercise their rights and responsibilities of independent decision-making and engagement in the community.
Applicants for this position cannot be licensed or certified by the DDD Office of Licensing Certification and Regulation, cannot have a principal interest in or have a spouse or close family with principal interest in a DDD Qualified Vendor Agreement, and cannot be employed or subcontracted by a DDD Qualified Vendor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
● Provides direct supervision for professional staff. Supervisory duties include: training, performance appraisals, performance monitoring, on-site supervisory visits, performance action plans. Provides on-call supports to Auditor II positions in the field.
● Ensures consistency of program monitoring procedures, and reporting is complete, accurate. and reference specific programmatic standards. Ensures the implementation of audit schedules.
● Provides technical assistance and training to Division staff and provider agencies to ensure federal, state and contractual requirements are met. Determines Contract Action when appropriate, as well as ensuring follow-up is completed with providers who are under Contract Action.
● Develops, writes and implements policies and procedures, standard work processes, and guidelines to define systems and operations relevant to Program Monitoring/ Auditing operations.
● Serves as a Lead to the other Division partners, community, and outside vendors; Coordinates with other Administrations (such as Quality Management, Office of Licensing, etc.) enhancing the collaboration and effective communication, and ensuring the accuracy of internal processes.
● Prepares monthly and annual trend analysis reports related to program monitoring/auditing activities as well as special reports upon request.
Knowledge in:
● Federal and state laws and agency rules, regulations, policies and procedures surrounding DDD practices.
● DDD licensing statutes, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and programmatic requirements.
● Investigation practices and interviewing techniques.
● Staff Training techniques and Risk Management practices.
● History, values and rights associated with the field of developmental disabilities.
● Quality Management.
