Job Summary
Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a full time Product Data Manager for our Bridgeton, MO facility. This position will be responsible for managing product data for large or complex projects and serve as project lead for all issues relating to product data management. They will also provide a significant role in the establishment of company policy regarding product data management.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage product data for small to medium-size projects under the supervision of senior Product Data Managers and serve as project lead for all issues relating to product data management
- Support the project team in establishment and documentation of Product Data Management tasks on projects as they relate to Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Logistics
- Provide flow-down of configuration management requirements to sub-contractors
- Utilize Product Data Management tools and perform the preparation of contract data item submittals
- Provide project leadership to the engineering technical staff in the decision processes required for effective configuration management
- Establish and implement identification, cause, and corrective action for configuration management deficiencies
- Lead customer interface regarding configuration management in support of Program Management
- Prepare and present all aspects of configuration management plans and status accounting in customer meetings
- Participate in the development of plans and procedures regarding configuration management
- Provide training to subordinate configuration staff in the use of configuration management tools and techniques
- Establish and implement identification, cause, and corrective action for configuration management deficiencies
- Develop and track metrics to provide measurement of configuration management effectiveness
- Establish audit schedules
- Prepare the configuration management cost estimates
- Ability to work independently as the key Product Data Management resource on projects ability and perform the required tasks with little supervision
- Regularly report progress and status
- Have an understanding of configuration management processes, procedures, and techniques as they apply to project management
- Ability to review contract SOWs to determine appropriate application of procedures
- Complete assigned tasks on time while meeting technical requirements
- Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Lead formal configuration management activities such as Physical Configuration Audits
- Provide a high level of guidance in support of the preparation of Technical Data Packages
- Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field (CAD data systems) or equivalent
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Relevant experience in the field of Product Data Management including experience with project and systems engineering techniques
- Fluency in current Product Data Management standards

Familiarity with DoD Configuration Management (CM) processes

Experience with Product Lifecycle Management Systems (PLM) application to CM Processes
- Highly developed understanding of product data management techniques and procedures as they relate to engineering, logistics, procurement, and manufacturing
- Has the ability to provide leadership to the Configuration Control Boards regarding engineering technical data for completeness and correctness
- General computer skills with developed familiarity with product data management tools
- Experience with CAD data systems desirable
The expected pay scale for this position is $90,673.00/year - $140,769.00/year for the state of Illinois. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly.
