A Day in the Life
The Senior Logistics Supervisor at our Dexter, Michigan site plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and operations that support site production and business needs. This role is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, shipping and receiving activities, and the purchasing of indirect components, ensuring materials are available, inventories are accurate, and processes are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.This position partners closely with site leadership, suppliers, and cross functional teams to optimize logistics processes, control costs, and improve service levels. The Logistics Supervisor will lead day to day execution while driving continuous improvement across warehousing, indirect procurement, and outbound logistics, helping ensure the Dexter site operates reliably and supports broader operational objectives.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Controls the flow of raw and finished goods, services, and information between point of origin through receipt at the manufacturing site, through to customer placement in order to meet customer or manufacturing requirements.
Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration, and related functions.
Ensures that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet marketing and financial objectives.
Builds relationships with manufacturing, suppliers, and customers through the resolution of delivery issues.
Integrates market intelligence from operating entities, distribution, transportation, suppliers, and customers to continuously improve competitive position.
Abilities and Skills: Analytical, Project Management, Operational Excellence, Data Analytics, Business Acumen, Learning Agility, Influencing/Negotiation, Cross-level Collaboration and Communication.
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma, Vocational diploma, or equivalent with 7+ years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Logistics (or equivalent experience)
OR Associate's Degree with 5+ years experience
OR Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years experience.
Nice To Haves
Experience supervising logistics or warehouse operations in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Familiarity with indirect materials purchasing (MRO, supplies, services)
Working knowledge of ERP or warehouse management systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
Background in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Kaizen, 5S)
Prior experience supporting shipping coordination and freight carriers
Strong cross‑functional communication skills with operations, engineering, and suppliers
Experience leading or mentoring hourly warehouse or logistics team members
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
