Provides Security Services to assure the protection of life and property at Winslow Indian Health Care (WIHCC) and Dilkon Medical Center (DMC). Maintains liaison with Administration and department managers in absence of Security Manager.
Upholds the principles of WIHCC’s Vision, Mission, and Value Statements. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information at all times.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
Improves staff effectiveness by motivating, coaching, counseling, training and recommending disciplinary action for employees; planning, delegating, monitoring, appraising job tasks and results in a timely manner, and approving time sheets.
Assists in the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, schedules, time approval, hiring, training, orientation, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
Assigns work schedules for DMC, WIHCC and Leupp satellite clinic to maintain security coverages. Plans daily post and patrol assignments, monthly work schedules, and prioritize work assignments.
Assigns and issues general instructions and orders concerning new, revised or special regulations and requirements.
Checks daily logs and incident reports daily. Reviews and forwards to supervisor.
Makes periodic inspections of security operations to ensure the program is carried out in an effective and efficient manner.
Maintains liaison with federal, state, city, and other law enforcement agencies.
Coordinates the activity of the Security Department with those of the operating and staff activities of the DMC, WIHCC and Leupp.
Upholds all principles of confidentiality and patient care to the fullest extent.
Attends department meetings and provide reports to staff.
Conducts training on shifts to evaluate the job knowledge of the security force. Evaluates performance of the force to determine effectiveness of training and advice and assistance in improving performance.
Responds to all emergencies during external and internal disasters and reports to all appropriate healthcare facility emergency codes.
Monitors access to all restricted areas of the healthcare facilities and buildings.
Maintains accurate, clear and legible incident reports and documents investigatory steps and results including departmental activity logs and shift activities.
Attends and satisfactorily completes all required training as assigned and required.
Will assist in updating and scheduling in timekeeping electronic system.
Trains new officers.
Provides overall protection of company assets.
Interacts with local law enforcement agencies as required
Requires completion of tasks or duties assigned by a supervisor.

Adheres to WIHCCs Personnel Policies and Procedures, departmental policies, rules, and regulations.

Performs other duties as assigned.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. Five years of related security, law enforcement, or military experience. Must possess a valid CPR/First Aid Certifications within nine months of hire. Bilingual skills in English and Navajo language preferred. Must maintain a valid unrestricted and insurable driver’s license. Must successfully pass a background investigation and maintain suitable requirements for a Child Care position. This position is considered as a Child Care position, which requires a satisfactory background check investigation and is subject to the requirements of the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act, as amended (henceforth referred as the ICPFVP Act).
