IT System Quality Engineer, Senior

Are you passionate about driving quality and ensuring that technology solutions meet the highest standards? We are looking for an experienced IT System Quality Engineer Senior to lead the establishment and implementation of quality assurance (QA), quality control (QC), and compliance programs. In this role, you will ensure that all information system products and services align with organizational standards and user requirements, both from a business and technical perspective.

 

What Your Day Will Look Like:

• Lead Quality Initiatives: Drive software quality assurance (SQA) efforts throughout the product, software, and system lifecycle, from initial project phases to ongoing maintenance in a projectized environment.
• Present Complex Information: Communicate detailed technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment across the organization.
• Facilitate SQA Programs: Design, establish, and enforce robust SQA programs to ensure high standards during the development and implementation of IT applications and technologies.

Minimum Requirements

IT System Quality Engineer, Senior

• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or equivalent combination of relevant work experience and completed years of college coursework.

• PLUS seven (7) years information systems audit or QA experience.

• Subject matter expertise within one or more business domains or systems and advanced knowledge across related technical areas.

• Direct experience supporting the implementation of quality management systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001 and/or CMMI supporting one or more process areas (PA).

• Appraisal team member for SCAMPI or ISO 9001:2000 for software. ASQ CSQE (Certified Software Quality Engineer), ASQ CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or equivalent require

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following business processes and domains acquired through accepting increased responsibilities in investor-owned, municipalities, and/or state utilities: Meter-to-cash, Generation-Transmission-Distribution, Energy Management System (EMS) & Advanced Distributed Management System (ADMS), Energy Imbalance Market Realtime trading, Design & Spatial Management, Digital utility (mobility applications, customer self-service portals)

• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure DevOps toolchain.

• Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid projects lifecycles driving quality engineering through all aspects of solution delivery project and products.

• Active participant as a key member of large programs and projects steering committees overseeing and providing recommendations to Sr. Leadership to mitigate quality risk.

• Transformation experience. Definition of current state, gap(s) identification, and change design and implementation to achieve the desired end state in the fields of quality, project management, and/or product management.

• Expert in IT Risk Mitigation practice and implementation
