Cybersecurity Strategies Specialist

Job Type Full-time Description

As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the governance compliance of the ECMA's cArmy Program Cybersecurity Strategies with Clinger-Cohen Act (CCA) statutory and regulatory guidelines. Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing, analyzing, and validating RMF processes and eMASS documents to ensure they align with Department of the Army (DA), Department of Defense (DoD), and Federal cybersecurity policies. You will also be responsible for assessing program attributes, cybersecurity requirements, and Azure/AWS cARMY cloud service providers eMASS packages and revieiwing POA&Ms and ACAS findings. 

This position will be performed onsite at Ft Belvoir

This position may require up to 5% travel

Key Responsibilities

Review and Analysis:
Assist the Government in reviewing and analyzing the tenants' Program Cybersecurity packages to ensure compliance with Clinger-Cohen Act (CCA) statutory and regulatory guidance.
Analyze program attributes, cybersecurity requirements, and protective measures to validate security controls according the the compliance with DA, DoD, and Federal cybersecurity policies.
Environmental Assessment:
Evaluate the security controls/Iaas, PaaS and SaaS eMASS packages to ensure it addresses environmental attributes that may impact program survivability, resilience, and mission achievement.
Tracking and Reporting:
Provide regular tracking and status reports on cArmy  programs in acquisition or sustainment that require security control, and POA&Ms reviews.
Coordination:
Coordinate RMF process along with AWS/Azure internal package reviews with program stakeholders to address any issues and establish milestones and objectives for compliance.

Guideline and Policy Updates:
Analyze and update Cybersecurity supporting guidelines, policies, and documentation to ensure alignment with current cybersecurity standards and best practices. 

Requirements

• Training in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
• IAM/IAT Level III certified
• Certification in cybersecurity (e.g., Security+, or equivalent)
• Minimum 10 years' relevant experience
• Proven experience in cybersecurity strategy analysis and compliance assessment.
• In-depth knowledge of DA, DoD, and Federal cybersecurity policies and regulations. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality
• Active US Government Clearance at Top Secret level with SCI eligibility
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to regularly lift at least 25 pounds.
• Ability to commute to the designated onsite work location as required.
