Job Description

Responsibilities: 

• Ownership of processing lab equipment, ensuring specifications and procedures are created, and that qualification, PM, calibration, and repairs are performed.
• Works with Process Engineers to identify, develop, scale, and automate equipment.
• Identify and collaborate with third-party system integrators as necessary to support projects.
• Works with vendors and AbbVie internal functions to develop automation solutions.
• Interfaces with various departments to ensure processes and designs are compatible for new product technology transfer.
• Actively collaborate with the project teams to support the execution of successful project studies.
• Supports the design and development of processes for manufacturing clinical and commercial tissue products.
• Investigates and evaluates existing technology; designs and implements new methodologies, materials, machines, and processes.
• Demonstrates subject matter expertise by developing department standards and improving existing work practices.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with 8-10 years process development experience in a regulated industry. 

Desirable:

• Master’s degree in Engineering or related field with 2-4 years experience or PhD with 0-2 years experience.
