Project Manager - Automation, Integration, and System Protection

The Opportunity
Ulteig is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Project Manager position for the Automation, Integration, and System Protection (AISP) department. This role will often be involved in the entire scope of the project from initiation through close-out. The successful candidate must have exceptional communication skills and possess the ability to successfully navigate through and resolve complex and oftentimes multi-functional challenges associated with medium to large projects. This position is a Hybrid role with the ideal candidate located in the greater Sacramento area.
What You’ll Do
- Provide project management support for large and complex projects
- Responsible for the overall management of the project scope, schedule and cost
- Virtually attend and work with client to prepare for participation in upcoming hearings to include strategy, key talking points and presentations
- Facilitate project meetings for client and support documentation control
- Provide technical review, coordination and writing or editing of periodic reports, plans or presentations required by legislation
- Be accountable to develop, update and manage the project plan and schedule
- Assess project risk and proactively develop mitigation plans
- Proactively manage project requests for information and action items
- Proficient in analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, and implement recommendations to support project scope, schedule and cost objectives
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
- Demonstrate excellent leadership, verbal/written communications, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Consistently produce results that meet goals, has high work standards, and understands the business environment and processes
- Achieve results by problem solving, setting priorities and organization
- Maintain customer focus to meet or exceed customer expectations and represent Ulteig in a professional and courteous manner
- Strive for individual excellence by seeking challenges and self -development, demonstrating high levels of expertise and showing commitment, self-confidence and integrity
What We Expect from You
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field required
- PMP Certification preferred
- Engineering background desirable
- Experience with utility projects and/or CAISO interconnection process desirable
- 5+ years of project management experience is preferred
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving standards
- Must have authorization to work permanently in the US
- Travel up to 25% of the year may be required
