The Boeing Company is seeking a Mission Systems Equipment Engineer to join the MQ-25 Communication, Navigation and Identification team located in Hazelwood, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

The Boeing MQ-25 Program has an opportunity for Engineers who want to contribute to advances in autonomous aviation.  You will help make history by joining a program that is the future of unmanned aircraft carrier aviation for the U.S. Navy! These engineers will be working with cross-functional teams to provide coordination, technical leadership for the execution of Mission Systems tasking related to the MQ-25 Communications, Navigation and Identification systems.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Entry-Level, Associate or Experienced Level MQ-25 Equipment Engineer.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development and documentation of electronic and electrical system requirements

  • Develop or modify basic hardware and software designs based on defined requirements

  • Perform system tests to verify operational and functional requirements

  • Assist in monitoring suppliers' performance to ensure compliance with requirements

  • Support resolution of product integration issues and production anomalies

  • Research basic technologies for potential application to company business needs

  • Develop and document moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements

  • Design hardware, software and interface specifications

  • Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements

  • Assist in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements

  • Solve problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle

  • Research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • Entry-Level (Level 1) Bachelor’s degree

  • Associate (Level 2) Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of related work experience or Master’s degree with related work experience

  • Experienced (Level 3) Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related work experience or Master’s degree and 3+ years of related work experience or PhD with related work experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in avionics integration on a platform

Typical Education/Experience: 

Entry-Level (Level 1)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Associate (Level 2)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Experienced (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
