Job Summary
The incumbent will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks supporting our North Americas HR team with payroll and benefit programs, including health and welfare, COBRA, FSA, and invoicing. This position will also support payroll processing/reporting assistance In accordance with SCOR’s Corporate Social Responsibility, the incumbent will also play a leadership role in supporting and assisting with all Employee Engagement initiatives and activities for the US.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Accurately enters and maintains all employee data in the HR systems including new hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, and communicates changes to payroll.
- Responsible for employee document management and maintaining confidential information in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Assists in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
- Assists with annual open enrollment process.
- Serves as SCORforGood/DEB champion by supporting and developing employee activities and events.
- Assists with coordination of training programs.
- Assists with updating Benefits portal.
- Assists with adhoc HR projects, audits, and census data.
- Conducts benefits orientation for new employees and follow-up on benefits enrollment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve payroll/ benefit-related issues and answer employee questions.
- Review and process benefit vendor billing invoices, and billing reconciliation.
- Provides administrative and clerical support and prepares correspondence.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required experience & competencies
- 0-2 years of HR experience.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including SharePoint.
- Experience with HRIS and benefits databases a plus
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Effective planning and priority setting.
- Experience with ADP and Oracle would be an advantage.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal/open communication skills
- Team‐spirited and proactive
- Good problem-solving skills
- Good administrative and organizational skills
- Sharp attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Required Education
- College coursework (associates or Bachelors) in accounting or human resources a strong plus
