Senior Accountant, EMEA

As we continue to expand our global team, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant, EMEA to join us in our journey.<br/><br/>Role Overview:<br/>The Senior Accountant, EMEA role will support the team in critical analyses of financial activities within the EMEA region as well as timely and accurate financial reporting and close processes. This role offers a tremendous opportunity to gain experience within a growing company (and small Finance team) and have significant exposure to leadership.<br/><br/>Responsibilities:<ul><li>Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, partnering with operations to ensure accuracy of results and balances</li><li>Create journal entries and provide supporting documents.  Preparation for senior team members to review details and post journals.</li><li>Reconcile all balance sheet accounts within acceptable tolerances and resolve unreconciled variances in a timely manner</li><li>Manage global operating expense and assist team with providing timely feedback to international team members during month-end close cycles</li><li>Work cross-functionally with Finance, IT, HR and Operations to drive important initiatives and improvements</li><li>Assist the off-shore accounting team with the company’s T&amp;E and AP management</li><li>Support special projects and process improvement programs</li></ul><br/>Initial Responsibilities (Day 1 – 3 months):<ul><li>Perform testing and assist in the build out of the new NetSuite ERP system</li><li>Special projects as company evolves from operating under TSA to stand alone position</li><li>Assist with the development and training of the off-shore accounting team’s role within the overall finance department</li></ul><br/>Requirements:<ul><li>Fluent in English and Dutch</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting</li><li>3+ years of General Ledger Accounting experience required, with a mix of public accounting and private company experience preferred</li><li>Experience in a startup or carve out environment preferred</li><li>Working knowledge of EMEA and global accounting standards and ability to assess, analyze and document accounting positions</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to manipulate spreadsheets, create pivot tables and summarize data from multiple sources</li><li>Direct experience performing detailed and data intensive reconciliations</li><li>Familiar with using NetSuite preferred</li></ul><br/>Location:<br/>This hybrid role will be based in our Bose Professional office in Amsterdam in the Netherlands, currently set at 3-days a week on-site.
