Description
Legacy Mutual Mortgage is an outstanding full service residential mortgage lender originating, underwriting and closing conventional, jumbo, FHA, VA and USDA mortgage loans. Essential Functions Include:
- Responsible for FMLA administration to include meeting Department of Labor regulatory deadlines. Coordinates the FMLA conversation and communication with team members and management and ensures follow-up on any outstanding items.
- Responsible for completing and submitting Short-Term and Long-Term Disability claim forms for employees.
- Assists with recruiting, onboarding and offboarding of employees including application tracking, background checks, orientation, benefits enrollment, and termination paperwork.
- Reviews and audits pay increase memos from Payroll for Management.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions by phone, in person or by e-mail.
- Initial contact for questions related to medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, health savings account, flexible spending account, dependent care benefit account, and health reimbursement arrangement.
- Assists the Project Lead for Open Enrollment. To include, but not limited to, set up for any new plan(s), provider(s) and/or rate changes, benefit guide review, carrier connections set up, testing prior to launch, audit enrollments after OE closes, and Census file.
- Responsible for management HR related administration.
- Processes benefit changes for qualifying events throughout the year and ensures required forms and supporting documentation is collected.
- Conducts first of the year payroll audit for changes in benefit premiums.
- Prepares reports and spreadsheets for HR audits and legal compliance.
- Reconciles health billing monthly with carriers, benefits broker, and accounts payable.
- Conducts semi-annual review of I-9 binders to ensure compliance.
- Helps to maintain employee files both on paper and electronically.
- Requests and orders employment posters for current and new sites.
- Ensures responses to verification of employment requests.
- Assists with employee events and coordinates HR specific training and recognition.
- Assists the HR Business Partner in recruiting function.
Requirements
Desired Skills and Experience Include:
- High School diploma or GED with some college work completed. 2 years of related work experience may be considered in lieu of complete college work.
- Minimum 2 years of Human Resources experience.
- Must have experience and be proficient with computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and data processing software.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to perform in a high-volume environment.
- Must have demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet/exceed set deadlines.
- Must demonstrate ability to build rapport/relationships in person and over the phone.
- Must have a positive attitude.
- Must be dependable, self-motived and require minimal supervision.
- Human Resources background is preferred.
