AT A GLANCE

RVO Health (RVOH) is a newly formed affiliate of the UnitedHealthGroup (UHG)/Optum business portfolio. It brings together the authority and reputation of HL Media with new products and services that intend to improve our audience’s health journey. The RVOH Medical Affairs team works closely with the Editorial team to ensure accurate and up-to-date health information. The team also collaborates with various other teams within the organization to ensure clinical logic and medical integrity.

We’re looking for someone who is experienced in the healthcare ecosystem with clinical and digital health experience. We are looking for someone who is passionate in improving health literacy and access to care in new delivery models. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure medical integrity for content, product, marketing, and many other business units. You will work closely with the team to identify clinical gap areas for surveillance and update.

What You’ll Do

You’ll work on various medical initiatives of the Medical Affairs team to ensure medical integrity and perspective across the broader organization.

• Work alongside the other team members in medically reviewing health information.
• Work with medical and business leads to determine RVO Health’s POV on various medical topics.
• Provide guidance, and support to the editor for content creation in incidences where the keywords are vague and generic - monthly keyword drop, monitor MedIQ slack channel daily.
• Be a clinical resource for thought leadership opportunities in B2B and B2C engagements.
• Find content gaps in impacted conditions with surveillance of medical information that supports business development.

What We’re Looking For

• MD/DO degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in clinical medicine, medical information, and digital health.
• Knowledge in the trends of the various verticals of health and wellness such as sleep, skincare, supplements, healthcare innovation, etc.
• Driven by new ways of providing health information, products and services to a broader audience.
• Familiarity with sources of evidence-based medical information, business trends.
• Ability to work independently to deliver great analysis and recommendations on solutions.
• Ability to work in a collaborative manner with teams that are geographically distributed.
• Ability to distill and communicate potentially complicated information to a vast audience of individuals with varying degrees of medical expertise in a way that is informative but concise
• Solution-oriented, ability to work independently, and detail-oriented.

Pursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company. The following benefits are provided by RVO Health, subject to eligibility requirements.

• Starting Salary: $100,000 - 170,000
  *Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications and experience
