Position Purpose:

This position plays an integral part in enabling insightful data analytics used in decision-making at Stericycle.  The Sales Operations Analyst is a proactive, analytical individual contributor with basic data prep and blending skills and exposure to data visualization concepts.  This role is responsible for supporting the development of interactive and actionable dashboards, analyses and reporting through partnership with senior level staff within the Commercial organization

Based on the business needs, the incumbent will be assigned to a functional area to provide data analysis and support such as (sales, marketing, operations, finance, etc.).

Key Job Activities:

Prepares and reviews data for functional leaders based on the analytical trends and results found in the data and market trends.

Supports data mining and analysis for ad hoc projects by leveraging existing dashboards and basic data visualization concepts.  Supports the design and maintenance of data and business intelligence applications and platforms that are internally created.

Enhance existing dashboards and visualization applications in partnership with Senior Sales Operations Analysts.

Effectively communicate findings and complex analytical solutions to Reporting & Insights management team. 

Perform rigorous quality assurance steps to deliver highly accurate and reliable work products. 

Incorporate on-going feedback from stakeholders into existing dashboards and analyses. 

Understand and utilize available tools to solve evolving business problems.

Education:

Preferred Education: in Bachelors or Equivalent

Experience (North America):

• Bachelor of Science degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Operations Research) or the equivalent in related work experience.
• One or more years of recent experience as a Business or Sales Analyst. 
• Minimum of one year of experience and knowledge building reports within a standard reporting application (i.e. SAP Business Objects, Cognos BI, SQL Reporting Services, etc.) and in creating ad hoc data marts for analysis using ETL tool (i.e. SQL, Alteryx, SSIS, etc.)
• Past experience with (understand and develop queries) SQL, SAP Hana Enterprise and relational databases preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and comfortable using other Microsoft Office products.
• Willingness to expand upon known technical skills and continually develop/learn new technical skills in support of new tools/methods.
• Ability to work independently and manage several simultaneous projects with a focus on results.
• Experience in service and/or healthcare related business preferred, but not required.
