Summary of position:
To design, implement, and continuously improve instructional programs tailored to the individual needs of students requiring Autistic Support services, ensuring the effective delivery of specially designed instruction aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and promoting success in both school and community settings.
Job Responsibilities (see attached job description for additional details):
- Plan and deliver evidence-based instruction within the least restrictive environment for students with Autism.
- Address developmental goals in academics, communication, social-emotional learning, adaptive behavior, and self-regulation.
- Implement ABA principles across instructional settings (individual, small group, whole class) to promote skill acquisition and generalization.
- Ensure compliance with IDEA, Chapter 14, and BCIU/school district policies.
- Conduct and analyze a variety of assessments (academic, functional, formative, and summative) to inform instruction and IEP development.
Qualifications:
- Pennsylvania teaching certification as required by the Department of Education.
- Experience working with students with Autism preferred.
- Knowledge and experience using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and explicit instruction, including Direct Instruction.
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with administrative, professional, and support staff.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Personal characteristics indicative of emotional stability, maturity, flexibility, tactfulness, cooperation, and cheerfulness.
Schedule:
Full-time, 10 months/year

- Bachelor = $52,919 to $81,690
- Bach+15 credits = $53,636 to $82,415
- Bach+24 credits = $54,427 to $83,215
- Masters = $64,370 to $93,955
- Mast+15 credits = $65,063 to $94,655
- Mast+30 credits = $65,755 to $95,355
- Mast+45 credits = $67,141 to $96,755
- Mast+60 credits = $68,377 to $98,005
