We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced to join our team as the Director of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) for the East Region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring system readiness for product launches, managing innovation stewardship, and overseeing Breakage Damage & Loss (BD&L) policy and administration processes. The Director of PLM will play a critical role in facilitating forecasting, sourcing changes, communication on concentrate readiness, and day-one minute-one activities with bottlers to ensure successful product launches and sustained product performance.
The Director of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) for the East Region leads the regional commercialization process across the East Region for market-wide innovation, customer specific in/outs, and operationalizing SKU changes resulting from product lifecycle analysis and decisions. Commercialization process will include detailed launch planning, forecasting, targets for Assumptions, Availability, Merchandising, Pricing, and Space (AAMPS), product supply issues and operational SKU management. Success for the role defined by on-time and on-budget implementation of all projects within commercialization process and accuracy of forecasting and AMPS assumptions.
Key Responsibilities: System Readiness & Innovation Stewardship
Project leadership (commercial and product supply) for all innovation and operational SKU changes. Utilize E2E thinking to include planning, forecasting, execution, and stewardship.
Drive collaboration across all functions through System Readiness Routine leadership and marketplace insights to ensure optimal execution in the marketplace.
Proactively identify and resolve innovation product supply Service Level Agreement issues between producing and purchasing Bottlers.
Proactively identify risks to successful implementation, problem solve and contingency plan to deliver on-time/budget. Secure cross-functional resources as needed to drive solutions.
Project stewardship to highlight key wins and utilize key learnings to continuously improve overall process. Also includes project close-out and post project review.
Communication:
Multi-function communications to ensure that each regional Bottler has provided their initial 90-day forecast for finished goods, producing Bottlers have received forecast, orders, planned and shipped to all Bottlers to support new product launches.
Communication is across decision makers within: Category Commercialization, National Retail Sales for customer authorizations, Bottler Commercialization, Bottler Production, Bottler Purchasers, National Product Supply Group, and Supply Chain where necessary.
Early Risk identification to identify contingency plans and issue resolution for marketplace readiness and Bottler to Bottler product supply.
Adjustments to implementation plan. Clearly communicating any plan changes, rationale, and implications to impacted constituents.
Responsible for flagging issues with bottling contracts and National Supply Chain agreements as well as facilitating governance routines, such as the PLM sub-committee.
Analysis:
Ensuring on-time and accurate forecasting for innovation, while also tracking Bottler forecast attainment to understand and communicate gaps to forecasts.
Deployment of product allocation for the bottlers due to supply constraints.
Transition timelines for SKU changes to minimize BD&L.
Post launch analysis to determine areas of success and improvement against total cost of implementation, AAMPs achievement, forecast accuracy etc.
Collaborate on Innovation:
Collaborate with Category Commercialization, Franchise Operations, and Product Supply (PSS) to communicate Innovation Launch and Execution Plans, as well as communicating risks to business plan and developing contingency and risk mitigation solutions.
Be the SME on the Innovation BD&L Policy, and how it applies to each national or regional Innovation Programs.
Steward and administer the Innovation BD&L reimbursements with NAOU Finance and Bottler Supply Chain/Commercialization teams.
