The Opportunity
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join the Growth Team and collaborate with an existing SDET. While you will have autonomy in your work, you’ll also collaborate closely to improve frameworks, share best practices, and ensure consistency across testing efforts.
Design, implement, and maintain high-quality automated tests for frontend and backend systems using Playwright with TypeScript.
Collaborate with the existing SDET and engineering teams to define test strategies, test plans, and quality metrics.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, providing fast feedback and reliable releases.
Perform manual testing when needed to validate complex scenarios and complement automation.
Contribute to improving testing frameworks, increasing coverage, reliability, and speed.
Identify gaps, propose new testing tools or approaches, and share best practices with your SDET peer.
Document issues clearly, communicate findings effectively, and work with product and engineering teams to ensure bugs are resolved before release.
Skills you should HODL
Strong programming experience in TypeScript; Python or Ruby is a plus.
Expertise in Playwright for automation; experience with other frameworks (Cypress, Selenium) is a plus.
Extensive experience in UI and API test automation in Agile environments.
Solid understanding of QA processes: bug tracking, test documentation, non-functional testing, security testing, and black-box testing.
Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Comfortable working autonomously within a collaborative SDET team, sharing knowledge and improving frameworks.
Creative mindset: can identify edge cases, gaps, and potential failure points.
Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams.
