The Research Assistant works under the direction of the Clinical Research Coordinator or Research Manager and focuses on ensuring the smooth completion of logistical aspects of a clinical trial.  This is a high-growth/high-impact opportunity for someone looking to enter the exciting field of clinical trial management as it provides exposure to complex and innovative Oncology trials in a clinical setting. Based within the central clinical trials office, known as Clinical Research Support (CRS), this role is integral part of our rapidly expanding clinical trial coordination team focused on the advancement of mission-critical clinical trial programs.  Reporting to the Manager of Clinical Trials Coordination you will be part of the Nuclear Medicine clinical research teams.

 

This position will be onsite at our South Lake Union Campus. 

Responsibilities

  • Support basic administrative and protocol driven tasks as needed for the study (i.e., meeting management, ordering of supplies).
  • Perform key protocol driven tasks as requested such as:
    • Preparing and routing lab kits,
    • Administering participant questionnaires,
    • Creation of participant study charts, and
    • Collection of participant receipts/travel reimbursement.
  • Collaborate with clinic staff, PIs, and other study team members on trial activities.
  • May serve as a point of contact for pre-visit activities.
  • Prepare snapshots of medical records for data abstraction.
  • Perform various coordination activities including routing documents for signature, obtaining outside medical records, printing of medical histories, and double-checking visit check lists for accuracy.
  • Track data sources, gather, and enter data into required systems.
  • Abstract data and enter into sponsor provided platform, and/or internal systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent
  • Strong computer skills and experience working with databases
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills both in-person and on telephone call
  • Strong verbal and written communication skillsEffective time management skills, ability to handle time sensitive deadlines and quickly pivot when unexpected events or changes present themselves 
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail mindset

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 1 year’s experience in clinical research
